Celebrate Today!

Friday was my daughter's 40th birthday and we celebrated and had a great time. During a conversation about aging, my daughter stopped and said: "Where did the time go?"

We decided that the present moment was the most important time. What we are doing right now determines our future and shapes our past. We live in the present and our actions become what we are.

Are you writing a book today? Are you working on it today? Then you should celebrate today because you have accomplished something today. Although we set goals for the future, we should remember to stay in the now and not dwell in the future or the past.

Have a happy today! Celebrate today!

  1. You are so right Karen, we only get today, the rest has been and gone and we don't know what the future holds. Happy Birthday to your daughter.

  2. Today is my daughter's birthday and she's overseas so we can't celebrate together. Time flies so fast.

  4. Happy birthday to your daughter! I know that feeling of time flying, especially now that I have a child of my own. He starts kindergarten this year. I can still remember him learning to walk like it was yesterday! :)
