I don't think it's cheating to get the best story possible.Karen Elizabeth Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17190485992966502931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1880009964581841972.post-81101233576785715442014-02-05T18:08:39.356-08:002014-02-05T18:08:39.356-08:00I'll admit that when I first decided to write ...I'll admit that when I first decided to write a novel, I pantsed my whole way through and then tore it apart and then rewrote it about a dozen times. Now, I use a beat sheet, and even though it feels like cheating, it helps me stick to my main theme/goal/purpose behind the story. But mostly my end product is 90% different from my original draft. :)Marisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18372508890443179743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1880009964581841972.post-83995021857949616322014-02-05T12:56:44.668-08:002014-02-05T12:56:44.668-08:00Fanny: Thanks for your insight. Now I'll start over and write about the characters and let the plot develop from them.Karen Elizabeth Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17190485992966502931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1880009964581841972.post-61909360525379546272014-02-05T03:58:24.496-08:002014-02-05T03:58:24.496-08:00That happened to me once, Karen. I find I can only write when the characters are leading me. I don't plot anymore. However, once I'm into the novel I do have a feel of how I'd like it to end, but then it depends on how it all unravels!<br />Don't drive yourself crazy with it. Don't be afraid to add, delete, or write notes in upper case to it. I might turn out. You can always start another one.Frankie Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10787954599014677407noreply@blogger.com
